The PhD students who are interested in the research areas covered by our research institute can apply the post-doctor position. There is no deadline for the application, and application is open all the time around the year.

Remuneration

(1) Living treatment: (i) subsidies + living allowance + housing allowance + meal allowance + scientific research allowance granted by Shenzhen, RMB 288,000 per year in total. (ii) For eligible post-doctors (doctors graduated from top 200 universities ranked by the Times Higher Education, or those who published 3 JCR Q2 academic papers as the first author during doctoral study), Shenzhen University will offer RMB 2,000 of additional incentive per month. (iii) Doctoral graduates from the world’s top 200 universities (overseas) can be directly accredited as overseas young talents of the Pearl River Talent Plan, and Guangdong Province will offer RMB 300,000 living subsidy per year. (iv) For overseas doctor and post-doctor introduced, Guangdong Province will offer RMB 100,000 additional living subsidies.

(2) Working conditions: when working in the postdoctoral workstation, the post-doctor may (i) directly apply for secondary senior or higher title in Shenzhen University; (ii) apply for various national, provincial, municipal and other scientific funds as the principal of the program; (iii) enjoy various incentives granted by Shenzhen University for all kinds of papers, programs, patents, etc.; (iv) apply for “Outstanding Young Talent in Scientific and Technological Innovation” of Special Support Plan of Guangdong Province for High-end Talents, which will subsidize 200 doctors and post-doctors annually and grant RMB 500,000 to each of them.

(3) Treatment after leaving the workstation: (i) the post-doctor can be granted with RMB 300,000 start-up fund for scientific research after leaving the workstation. (iv) Apply for subsidy from China Postdoctoral Foundation. Those who engage in scientific research for over 3 years after leaving the workstation can be directly accredited as the reserve high-end professional talents of Shenzhen and get RMB 1.6 million of housing subsidy from Shenzhen City. (iii) Enjoy the priority to be formal teacher of Shenzhen University on equal grounds.

(4) All aforesaid policies shall be subject to the latest regulations regarding the post-doctor issued by the State, Guangdong Province, Shenzhen City and Shenzhen University.

Qualifications

(1) Generally, new doctoral graduates aged under 35, with strong ability in English reading and writing (or students who have passed the doctoral dissertation defense, but overseas students, including those from Hong Kong and Macao, must obtain their diplomas).

(2) With strong ability in scientific research, issued at least 1 CCF B paper, 1 JCR Q2 academic paper or 1 academic paper on primary academic journal in China as the first author (or as the second author, the first author must be the applicant’s doctoral supervisor, the same below) over the past three years.

(3) Applicants who have obtained remarkable scientific research achievements (issued at least 1 CCF A paper, 1 JCR Q1 academic paper as the first author over the past three years) are preferred.

(4) Get involved in post-doctoral researches in full time (in-service applicant or those who participate in on-the-job learning program are not admitted).
